Tori Dimmitt is the Campus Director of the Borger, Texas branch of Jill Dixon’s Eclectic Academy of Learning. She is a second generation homeschooler and an EAL alumna who spent six of her eleven homeschooling years at the academy. The 2025-2026 school year will be this academy’s inaugural year and the second EAL branch located outside the state of Georgia and within our great state of Texas!
Tori resides in Borger with her husband, Jan-Michael, and their seven children: Noah, Matthias, Olive, Finn, Rosalie, Eric, and Ewan. She has been homeschooling for fourteen years. Her husband proudly served in the US military for six years. During this time they had the opportunity to homeschool in different parts of the country and two of those years in Pyeongtaek South Korea.
She serves on the board as Vice President in her local homeschool co-op and leads story time and book clubs for its seventy-five students. During the 2024/2025 school year Tori was involved in the startup of a micro school where she taught: History, Writing, Reading Fluency, and Phonics. She is also very active in her church where she sings on the praise and worship team and volunteers in both kids’ and women’s ministries.
Literacy and learning through stories have always been at the heart of her homeschool. She is excited to begin this new adventure and to bring this passion for the written word to all of her academy students.
