Become a director of a local Jill Dixon's Eclectic Academy of Learning (EAL) campus. This role allows individuals to shape the future of learning and create homes filled with truth, beauty, and the joy of learning, making a lasting impact on the educational journey of students.

Here's a breakdown of the opportunity:

• Role: Directors establish and run an EAL campus in their local area under an annual license agreement. They are considered self-employed for tax purposes, not employees or independent contractors of EAL.
• Homeschooling: A key aspect is the ability for directors to homeschool their own children concurrently with running the academy. For directors who do not currently have children who are homeschooled, directors need to have homeschooled in the past and been involved in a homeschooling community.
• Financials: Directors earn income for their family. They keep all monies received as registration fees and a percentage of the tuition collected (65% for the first two months, then 70% thereafter). EAL does not handle director taxes or expenses. Directors are responsible for compensating any teachers or helpers they hire. The barter system is encouraged to benefit both directors and teaching or helping parents.
• Commitment: Directors must commit to starting an academy from the time of completing their license agreements until the academy is established. To this end and as part of their license agreements, there is a non-refundable promissory note fee for new directors as a guarantee of their commitment and to cover start-up administration and marketing.
• Benefits: Directors receive free curricula for their immediate family and become part of a vibrant, supportive community of homeschoolers. EAL offers overall guidance and advice.
• Academy Structure: Directors need a minimum of 10 paying students to start an academy. The academy teaches from a pre-modern conservative Christian worldview, which all participants must agree to support. Although families are not required to be Christian to attend, behaviors and/or actions taken by students or their parents in relation to EAL must not be in conflict with the conservative Christian worldview of Jill Dixon's Eclectic Academy of Learning. Directors are responsible for local operations, including securing building space (often through bartering or donations), administration costs, and insurance. They deliver homework coursepacks, which are purchased per student from EAL and mailed to the director.
• Qualities Sought: Directors must be mature and well-grounded, possessing strong leadership skills, the ability to work with parents, students, and special needs students, a loving commitment to children, adaptability, and a firm yet friendly personality. They must also demonstrate commitment to the EAL Difference and Philosophy Program and Attendance Requirements.
